1. Who We Are
This privacy policy applies to the MBA Profile Tool operated by AccioAdmit ("we", "us", "our"). AccioAdmit is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this tool.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the tool, we may collect the following categories of personal data:
Contact information
Your email address and first name, provided at the email capture step.
Professional background
Job title, industry, company type, years of work experience, career progression, number of direct reports, and functional area.
Academic background
Degree field, institution tier, GPA range, test type (GMAT/GRE) and score, and professional certifications.
Career goals
Target post-MBA role, preferred geography, and target industry.
Personal profile
Nationality, age, gender, languages spoken, international experience, community involvement, and notable achievements.
Resume content (optional)
If you upload a CV or resume, we process its text content to extract the profile fields listed above. The file itself is not stored.
We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or any special categories of personal data under Article 9 GDPR (such as health data or religious beliefs).

4. Automated Decision-Making
The school matching results are produced by an automated scoring algorithm. This constitutes automated processing within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. However, this processing does not produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you. The results are informational only and do not constitute an admissions decision or any binding assessment.

5. Who We Share Your Data With
We share your data only with the following third-party processors, strictly for the purposes described above:
Groq, Inc. (USA)
Used to parse resume text via large language model. Resume content is transmitted to Groq's API and processed in-memory. Groq does not store your data for model training. Transfers to the USA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Resend, Inc. (USA)
Used to deliver your results email. Your email address, first name, and match results are transmitted to Resend solely for email delivery. Transfers to the USA are covered by SCCs.
Beehiiv, Inc. (USA) — newsletter subscribers only
If you explicitly opt in to the AccioAdmit Weekly newsletter, your email address and first name are sent to Beehiiv to manage your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email. Transfers to the USA are covered by SCCs.
Netlify, Inc. (USA)
This tool is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes request data (IP addresses, headers) as part of standard web hosting. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.
Google LLC (USA) — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, interactions). No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. Data is processed in the USA under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google LLC (USA) — Google Sheets
When you complete an evaluation, your profile inputs and top matched schools are recorded in a private Google Sheet accessible only to AccioAdmit. This is used solely for internal analysis and service improvement. Data is stored in the USA under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and is not shared with third parties.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with any other third parties, including MBA schools or admissions consultants, without your explicit consent.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
Profile data (professional, academic, goals, personal): Not stored server-side. Your profile is processed in memory during your session to generate results and is not written to any database.
Resume content: Processed in memory only. The uploaded file and its extracted text are not stored after your results are generated.
Session data (browser): Your profile and results are stored in your browser's sessionStorage so you can view your results without re-submitting. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab.
Results email: Your email address and results are transmitted to Resend for delivery. Resend retains email delivery logs for up to 30 days. We do not retain a copy server-side.
Newsletter subscription: If you opted in, your email and first name are retained by Beehiiv for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Internal analytics (Google Sheets): When you complete an evaluation, your profile and results are recorded in a private Google Sheet. This data is retained for up to 24 months and used exclusively for service improvement analysis. You can request deletion by contacting us at workwithaccioadmit@gmail.com.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the EU, you can find your national authority at edpb.europa.eu. In the UK, the relevant authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
8. Cookies and Tracking
This tool uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), operated by Google LLC. GA4 uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect anonymous usage data, including pages visited, time on page, and general interaction patterns. We use this data to understand how users engage with the tool and to improve the service.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). GA4 data is collected anonymously and is not linked to your name or email address. You can opt out of GA4 tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser with tracking protection enabled.
Your profile and results are stored in sessionStorage, which is a browser-local mechanism that is never transmitted to our servers and is cleared when you close the tab.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party processors are located in the United States, which is outside the EEA. Where we transfer personal data to the USA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR. Each of our US-based processors (Groq, Resend, Beehiiv, Netlify, Google) has entered into SCCs or operates under an equivalent adequacy framework.
10. Children's Privacy
This tool is intended for adults who are considering applying to MBA programmes. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through this tool, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
